Mission Steps

1. Scout Your Spot. Find a safe outdoor area like your backyard, a local park, or even a sidewalk crack.
2. Look Low and Slow. Get down close to the ground and move slowly. Look under leaves, on flowers, on the sidewalk, and near any plants.
3. Observe Carefully. Use your eyes (and a magnifying glass if you have one) to look at any bugs or creepy crawlies you see. What do they look like? What are they doing?
4. Sketch and Note. Draw the creatures you find in your notebook. Write down what they were doing or where you found them. Don't worry if you don't know their names!
